Jilin University (JLU) is a key comprehensive university under the direct jurisdiction of China’s Ministry of Education. Strongly supported by China’s “Double First-Class” university project, “Project 211” and “Project 985”, JLU offers a wide range of disciplines, including 46 colleges or schools, covering 13 academic categories. There are 139 undergraduate programs, 358 accredited master programs, 312 accredited doctoral programs, and 42 centers for post-doctoral studies.
School of Foreign Language Education (SOFLE) undertakes the mission of public education and research for all undergraduate and postgraduate students in JLU. We now offer two master programs in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics and MTI (Master of Translation and Interpretation), and one doctoral program in Foreign Languages and Literatures.
Based on related regulations of Jilin University and practical demands, SOFLE is recruiting qualified and enthusiastic native English-speaking teachers to fill teaching positions.

■Qualifications
●Native English speakers;
●A strong sense of responsibility and professional ethics, and willingness to be engaged in higher education and research;
● Respecting Chinese culture and social customs;
● Meeting one of the two requirements:
(1) A bachelor’s degree from universities outside Mainland China in any of the following fields: applied linguistics, educational linguistics, TESOL, ESL, cross-cultural communication, translation, American/British literature, commerce, business, or a related field; and at least two years’ teaching experience.
(2) A master’s or doctoral degree from universities outside Mainland China in related fields mentioned in (1). Teaching experience is a priority.
■Duties and Responsibilities
●Teaching English to non-English majored undergraduate and graduate students of Jilin University;
●Developing graduate level courses in an MA foreign languages and literatures program;
●Conducting research, particularly in applied linguistics, second language acquisition or foreign language education and other related areas.
