At the invitation of the School of Foreign Language Education of Jilin University, Professor Sun Jisheng, vice president and doctoral supervisor of the School of Foreign Affairs, made a special academic report online on December 13. The lecture was hosted by Professor Pan Haiying, the dean, and attended by a large number of teachers and students both inside and outside the school.
The title of this lecture is "Language and Interdisciplinary Studies: Taking International Political Linguistics as an Example". In the lecture, Professor Sun first introduced how language research entered the field of international relations research, and explained why international relations and international politics should study language. Secondly, through examples, she explained in detail how to use language for research in the field of international relations. Finally, Professor Sun briefly introduced the interdisciplinary study of language and international relations - international political linguistics, and looked forward to its development direction, which played a great enlightening role in finding research topics and research directions for teachers and students.
