From July 31st to August 18th, 12 English teachers from the School of Foreign Language Education visited the University of Auckland for a short-term training program.
The Summer Program covered a wide range of courses given by fantastic teachers of the University of Auckland. The English teachers from the School of Foreign Language Education got trained in English teaching and learning strategies, course design, evaluation and assessment, research writing and publishing, digital presence and so on. The teachers were impressed by the culture and scenery there as well. Field trips to the local schools and cultural resorts contributed to a better understanding of the country. On the whole, the visit was a great success.
With the support of our university leaders and colleagues, the School of Foreign Language Education has been endeavoring to enhance teachers’ professional development and will make steadier progress in the future by benefiting from such overseas programs.
